[MacOS X] lsbom

i'm sure i was the last one who figured out that mac os x has a
program `lsbom' which will list the contents of bom (bill of
materials) files used by the standard apple installer. this can be
used to uninstall programs, as suggested by the gimp-print faq (1):

    lsbom -f -l -s /Library/Receipts/... | (cd /; sudo xargs rm)

where ... is the path to the bom for the package you want to
uninstall. it's probably kind of dangerous to certain things this way,
because the paths listed in the bom aren't always relative to root,
and some packages could contain files that overwrote crucial parts of
the os.
